This is a really special AirBNB. You can enjoy the back garden and koi pond from the balcony, and I even cracked the sliding door at night because the cool breezes and calm sound of the water helped me sleep. I’m a stickler for cleanliness, and the unit is very clean. Everything looked brand new. It’s well appointed, the hosts were attentive and kind, and I’d easily stay here again if I was visiting East Bay.

easy to get to, walking distance to food (try the ethopian place nearby), safe, very clean, very cute decor, good communication, awesome bath. reccomended esp. for a solo traveler or business - better than the nearby hotels which are fine but not as cozy.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at the Stargazer. And again, we loved the beautiful, calm environment. The apartment was spotless and comfortable. The back balcony overlooking the incredibly beautiful tropical garden is like stepping into another world. We visit family in Berkeley a few times a year, and we always check to see if the Stargazer is available. Thank you for welcoming us to this urban oasis!

This place is so incredibly special, and better than any five star hotel in San Francisco! Thank you to Albena and Nikolay for creating such a beautiful place and being such gracious hosts. The garden in the back is extraordinary. If you love nature and well designed places, don't hesitate!

This was our first stay at the Urban Oasis, and it couldn’t have been better. Albena is a wonderful host—very responsive and helpful in every way. The house was spotless and perfectly equipped for our needs. The gardens are beautiful, and the location is peaceful while still being close to Emeryville and Berkeley. We highly recommend this rental and will definitely return on our next visit to the East Bay!

Second time staying at Albena’s place while traveling for work and it was just as enjoyable as the first. The apartment is well appointed, the location is quiet, and Albena is an excellent and responsive host. I had the perfect stay.

We had a wonderful stay visiting our children who both live in the SF area. Convenient location, easy to get in and out of SF. We were traveling with my elderly dad, so we particularly liked that he had his own bedroom/bathroom. The host was very helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

I was so grateful for the chance to return to my favorite space for a peaceful retreat. The Lily Pad is not only a beautiful, clean, place to stay; it's an invitation to breathe, rest, and experience the beauty of nature. It was clearly designed with love and care. The studio is so comfortable, and the garden is truly restorative and healing. Albena and Nikolay are incredible hosts and amazing people! Their kindness, care, and respect for guests' experiences shine through in every detail. And Albena's parents are among the kindest people I have ever met. Finally, the neighborhood is wonderful, and you can't go wrong with Albena's excellent recommendations. I can't recommend The Lily Pad more highly!

What a tremendous experience, felt immediately at home and encouraged to be a homebody by how delightfully organized the place is, I did some of my best work as an artist here all year and ever, perfectly conducive environment to inspiration and alacrity. I leave feeling deeply refreshed and nourished. Hosts are clearly people who truly care about providing a good experience, truly 5 stars does little justice. Will be back

It has been a lovely stay and really made me feel like home. The place is quiet and convenient to everything. The host is friendly and easy to communicate with. I personally liked the interior of the space and it seems like the host has a good taste for things.
