🌿🌿🌿 Our Garden Guest Suite is a comfortable, minimalist 1 bedroom with a separate, private entrance. It has a plenty of closet space and is designed with comfort, functionality and minimum impact in mind! It's a private GROUND level unit in our 1910 California Craftsman. It is a 2-steps down Garden Guest Suite wrapped in lush greenery, sporting radiant heated polished cement floors. Being a ground floor, it has a limited natural light inside, so it’s perfect for working professionals or visitors who are out during the day. It also forces us to spend more time outdoors in nature and in our own serene tropical backyard with a koi fish pond. We tried to design a space where functionality meets design and offers green, sustainable, comfortable urban living. With its sunken excavation design - it provides both privacy from the street side and maximizes the insulative natural geo-thermo properties of Mother Earth. It helps with keeping the apartment warm in winter and cool in summer, eliminating the need for an AC, thus minimizing its environmental impact. In addition utilizes hydronic radiant heated floors throughout the apartment during colder winter months. It has a beautiful small outdoor patio and plenty of unrestricted parking on our street and a FordGo bike station down the street, along with a free shuttle to Bart and to our favorite Berkeley Bowl ( a Natural Healthy Grocery Store - a local institution). We also have a running track across the street and an outdoor gym up the street. Very central Bay Area location, close to major highways and Bay Bridge. It's an easy commute to downtown San Francisco, Berkeley, Oakland and moments away from local businesses, Emeryville Marina and bay side nature trails. Please give them some space and they will happily move to the next patch of greenery.
